Founded in 2012 in Qingdao, China, Agrospear operates a 20,000 m² certified facility with automated production lines and 50,000+ tons annual capacity — delivering custom crop protection formulations to OEM and ODM partners in 50+ countries across six continents.
Agrospear is the agrochemical manufacturing division of Qingdao Vatrad Group Co., Ltd., based in the Economic Development Zone of Laixi, Qingdao, Shandong, China. Founded in 2012, the company began as a specialized formulation workshop committed to crop protection science, and has grown into a state-designated pesticide manufacturer serving OEM and ODM clients across more than 60 countries on six continents.
Agrospear is the B2B custom-development division of the Agrospear factory. Every Agrospear project — from a first sample or small-batch co-branded run to a full private-label product line — is manufactured in the same facility, by the same teams, and under the same quality system described here. The factory actively participates in international exhibitions including CAC Shanghai, AgroChemEx and regional trade fairs, building relationships with distributors and registrars who rely on consistent batch quality for their home markets.
The factory covers 20,000 m² with dedicated workshops for raw material inspection, dispersion system preparation, mixing and milling, formulation filling and a testing area for stability, content analysis and physical property checks. Eight automated production lines deliver over 50,000 tons per year, and the facility operates under ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and GMP quality management with BSCI and ICAMA compliance for exported products. Agrospear maintains school-enterprise cooperation programs with agricultural universities in Shandong, channeling academic research into formulation innovation and co-developing novel adjuvant systems with graduate engineering teams.
More than 200 skilled workers and 14+ R&D engineers — backed by 30+ technology patents — support the two lines of work that matter to agrochemical brands: engineering (formulation design, co-formulant selection, prototyping) and production (labeling, filling, inspection, export packing). An in-house R&D center with a formulation lab and stability chamber handles custom formulations and registration support before mass production begins. Engineering Before Production

One Team, One Facility
Formulation, mixing, filling, inspection and testing happen in one 20,000 m² facility. No trading-company handoffs: the chemists who develop your suspension concentrate are the same people who oversee its milling and filling, ensuring emulsion stability and particle-size distribution carry straight from the lab to the drum.
Small First Runs
Sample runs start at 1–4 tons and pilot batches at 5 tons, so brands validate field performance — efficacy, sprayability, shelf stability — before committing to standard 20+ ton production runs. Formulation records, artwork and registration dossiers are retained for seamless reorders.
