1OEM — Custom Formulation Development

OEM means the factory develops a formulation to your specification: specific active, specific concentration, specific formulation type, tailored additives. You own the formulation and the registration data. OEM is the right choice when you need a differentiated product, a novel combination, or registration exclusivity in your market. It requires more upfront investment in development and stability studies, and longer time to market.

Private label puts your brand on a formulation the factory already produces and has registered or pre-qualified. The formulation is proven, stable and often already registered in reference markets — which dramatically shortens your time to launch. Private label wins on speed: you can go from first sample to shipment in 8–12 weeks because the formulation is already validated and the stability data exists. OEM requires formulation development (4–8 weeks), followed by stability studies (8–26 weeks) before you can file for registration. OEM gives you full control over registration: you file under your brand with your data, and no competitor can reference your dossier.
