Protecting Crops and Communities
Agrospear has entered into a strategic partnership with leading African crop protection organizations to supply insecticides for both agricultural pest management and public health vector control programs across Sub-Saharan Africa.
The partnership follows a competitive evaluation covering formulation stability in tropical climates, supply reliability, and registration support capability — Agrospear's SC formulation platform and willingness to support multi-country registration dossiers were the deciding factors.
The initial agreement covers:
- SC Insecticide 200 — for agricultural pest management in staple food crops including maize, rice, and sorghum
- SC Vector Control Formulation — a specialized indoor residual spray (IRS) formulation for malaria vector control, meeting WHO-PQ quality standards
- Registration dossier support — complete GLP study packages and regulatory documentation for partner countries
The IRS formulation has been optimized for extended residual efficacy on typical African housing wall surfaces (mud, cement, and painted surfaces), with stability validated through 24-month shelf-life studies at 40°C/75% RH.
Agrospear's Africa partnership program offers dedicated regulatory affairs support, flexible minimum order quantities for national program tenders, and priority manufacturing scheduling for emergency vector control campaigns.
