Finer. More Stable. Higher Suspension.
Agrospear R&D has developed a next-generation suspension concentrate (SC) formulation platform that achieves superior particle size distribution while improving long-term stability compared to standard SC formulations.
The innovation comes from an optimized wet-milling protocol combined with a new polymeric dispersant system developed in partnership with a leading adjuvant supplier. Particle size and suspension rate targets are validated per project on physical samples through accelerated stability testing before any commercial production run.
Key performance benchmarks of the new SC platform:
- Particle size D90 < 5μm — ensuring uniform spray coverage and minimal nozzle clogging
- Suspension rate > 90% — exceeding FAO/WHO specifications for SC formulations
- Improved thermal stability — validated through 54°C/14-day accelerated testing with no significant crystal growth or sedimentation
- New adjuvant system — enhanced rainfastness and leaf surface retention across broad-spectrum active ingredients
The new platform will debut in an updated SC herbicide line and a forthcoming premium fungicide SC formulation. Products built on this platform maintain rated specifications with less settling and easier redispersion after storage.
Pilot production for the new SC platform has been completed at the Agrospear manufacturing facility, with first commercial batches expected to ship in Q4 2026.
