Pesticide Registration Requirements in Africa: A Buyer's Guide

African pesticide registration varies by economic community: WAEMU (West Africa) uses a centralized procedure across 8 member states, EAC (East Africa) requires national registrations with mutual recognition, and SADC is progressing toward harmonization. Most registrations require ICAMA certificates from the country of origin, full formulation specifications, acute toxicity data and local bio-efficacy trials.
